Altieri Instrument Bags is a couture workshop based in Denver, Colorado USA. For the past 26 years Altieri has been creating custom bags that combine the best materials with original designs that protect the instruments of musicians on the go.

The company was started by Donna Altieri on the request of a musician who was looking for a way to 'schlep' his Tuba around town with less hassle. His inspiration led Altieri to become the first producer of instrument bags that added straps that convert a hand-held or shoulder-strap bag into a true backpack. She was also one of the first to make musician's bags out of fabric instead of leather, and to use advanced materials for insulation and padding.

Altieri's customers include high school and college music students, serious amateur musicians, professional jazz and symphony musicians and music teachers. Keeping her business small and in Denver has allowed the company to control costs and quality, and to focus on the customization necessary to meet the need of the serious musician.

Altieri Instrument Bags are constructed of durable, heavy gauge nylon packcloth with weatherproof coating on the outside shell, and use heavy duty zippers, drawstrings, buckles, and hardware. Gigbag liners are built from custom-quilted ripstop nylon to provide a soft, scratch free surface next instruments and cases. Casecovers feature our hi-tech, 4-layer insulating system.
